A NEW DAY FOR NAPLES

As a 21-year resident of Naples, a father, grandfather, and community servant, Scott Schultz believes in protecting what makes Naples special — while planning responsibly for its future. Naples is at a crossroads, and Scott is running for City Council to ensure we grow wisely, strengthen our resiliency, preserve our unique charm, and maintain local control.

A COUNCILMAN YOU WON'T NEED TO TRAIN

About Scott

Scott Schultz is a 21-year Naples resident, father, grandfather, and community leader dedicated to protecting what makes Naples special. As a member of the City’s Planning Advisory Board (PAB) and the Collier County Coastal Storm Risk Management Committee (CSRM). Scott has worked firsthand on the issues that matter most — smart growth without handing out variances, flood mitigation, and preserving our city’s unique character. Now, he’s running for Naples City Council to strengthen our infrastructure, defend Home Rule, and ensure responsible development that keeps Naples beautiful, resilient, and true to its charm and following the Naples Master Plan. (Be sure to fill out your Naples 2045 survey when it becomes available).

Scott will be your voice for North Naples — representing the Gulf Shore, Park Shore, Naples Cay, and Seagate communities — while working for all residents citywide. As a candidate from the northern tier of Naples, Scott understands the unique challenges these waterfront neighborhoods face. He will ensure their needs are heard at City Hall, where no council member currently lives in the northern tier.

Our Campaign Focus

Smart, Responsible Growth

Scott believes in preserving Naples’ small-town charm by stopping reckless zoning variances and promoting thoughtful, balanced development that fits our community’s character. Naples must never become “Miami West.” Growth is inevitable, but it must be managed with care — respecting our neighborhoods, protecting our quality of life, and keeping the scale and beauty that make Naples unique. Scott will work to ensure future development enhances our city, not overwhelms it.

Strong Infrastructure & Resiliency

Naples must invest in repairing aging infrastructure and strengthening flood protection to keep our neighborhoods safe, our roads functional, and our city prepared for the future, including hardening our water system's computer systems against ransomware attacks.

Protecting Home Rule

Scott will stand up against state overreach and defend Naples’ right to make local decisions — ensuring our city’s future is shaped by its residents, not politicians in Tallahassee. He believes in maintaining open, respectful dialogue with our state legislators to find common ground and protect Naples’ best interests by working with people, not against them.

Building Partnerships & Unity

Scott will foster collaboration between the City, County, and State, bringing people together to solve problems and deliver real results for all parts of Naples. As a proven bridge-builder, he will serve as a strong liaison to County Commissioners, our County Constitutional officers, and our State Legislative delegation to strengthen communication, align priorities, and ensure Naples’ voice is heard at every level of government.
